St Albans Trapeze & Aerial Arts - Adult Class Booking Terms
Last updated: September 2026
These terms apply to adult group classes booked with St Albans Trapeze & Aerial Arts. By making a booking, you agree to the terms below.
Bookings and eligibility
Our adult classes are for participants aged 18 and over. We may occasionally allow an intermediate teenage student from our existing youth programme to attend an adult class where we believe the class is appropriate for them.
Classes can be booked through our online booking system, Acuity, and bookings may currently be made up until the advertised class start time, subject to availability.
Private lessons are arranged separately and are not covered by the standard group-class booking process. Please email [email protected] to enquire about private lessons.
Cancellations and rescheduling
You may cancel or reschedule your own booking through Acuity up to 24 hours before the class starts.
If you booked using a class package, the class credit will automatically be returned to your package when you cancel within the permitted cancellation period.
If you paid for an individual class, cancelling at least 24 hours before the class will entitle you to a refund. Refunds normally take approximately 5–8 working days to reach your account.
If you need to cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, you will normally lose the booking or class credit. However, please still let us know. If the class has a waiting list and we are able to fill your space, we are happy to return the class credit or issue a refund as appropriate.
Failure to attend without cancelling will result in the loss of the booking or class credit.
Class packages
Class packages are subject to the validity period shown when they are purchased. Packages cannot be partially refunded. For example, if you purchase a 10-class package and later decide not to use the remaining credits, the unused portion is not refundable.
Credits may still be returned to an active package where a class is cancelled in accordance with these terms.
Cancellations by St Albans Trapeze & Aerial Arts
We normally require a minimum of five participants for a class to run, although we may choose to run a class with fewer participants at our discretion.
Where we cancel due to low numbers, we aim to give at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible.
If we cancel a class, bookings made using a class package will have the credit returned to the package. Customers who paid individually will receive a refund.
There may occasionally be circumstances outside our control that require a class to be cancelled or changed at shorter notice. We will contact affected participants as soon as reasonably possible.
Arriving late and warm-ups
The warm-up forms an important part of every class. Please arrive in sufficient time to be ready for the advertised start time.
If you arrive after the warm-up has begun, the instructor will decide whether it is safe for you to participate. Depending on how late you are and what has already been covered, you may not be permitted to join the class.
Where you are unable to participate because you arrived too late to do so safely, the booking will not normally be refunded or credited.
Health and PAR-Q
All participants must complete our Adult Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PAR-Q) before taking part.
You are responsible for providing accurate and relevant information about any health condition, injury, medication or other circumstance that may affect your ability to participate safely.
You must let us know if any relevant information changes after completing the PAR-Q.
If you are injured, unwell, in pain, feel faint or dizzy, or have another concern that may affect your ability to participate safely, you must inform your instructor.
Safety and participation
Aerial arts and physical exercise involve inherent risks of injury, including bruises, friction burns, strains, sprains, falls and collisions. St Albans Trapeze & Aerial Arts takes reasonable measures to manage and reduce these risks, but they cannot be eliminated entirely.
Participants must follow their instructor’s directions and the safety rules given during class. You should not attempt skills, progressions, drops or other movements that you have been instructed not to perform or that an instructor has told you that you are not ready to attempt.
An instructor may modify or stop your participation in any activity where they reasonably believe this is necessary for your safety or the safety of others.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Class levels
Please book a class appropriate to your experience and ability. Where a class is advertised at a particular level, instructors may ask a participant to modify what they are doing or recommend a different class if they believe the booked class is not appropriate or safe for their current level.
